Today was another exhilarating day in Dublin! The lectures today were among the best yet, with topics covering the application of scientific theory in the works of Joyce, and then the historical context of  the portrayal of housing in in Ulysses. In between lectures, some of us took a little stroll over to St. Stephen's Green across the street from the Newman house to take a quick power nap.

(cute guys!)

After lunch, we attended our respective seminars, and we had a fantastic time. (Mr. Lind made me find a better adjective). The seminars have been a great way to meet people from around the world and get new ideas and perspectives on our different books. The Ulysses seminar in particular covered the controversial "Circe" chapter that contributed to the book's widespread banning upon its initial release. At the end of the day, we went to a reception at the Swiss Embassy, and mingled with our fellow Joyce-school compatriots as well as the Swiss ambassador! Before we ate, we had our first photo shoot of the night.
When we got back to the dorms, we all went and did our own thing before dinner. Some of us chose to have another photo shoot.

Then we had some great pizza for dinner in our dorms. We're looking forward to another great day in Dublin tomorrow!

Thanks for reading!
