Day One: By Rachel and Jordyn

After a successful flight from America to Ireland we cruised through customs and straight to baggage claim where we met our University College Dublin aid who brought us to our bus. Adjusting to the time change was a little rough. The bus ride flew by in our excitement but once we reached the dorms sleep became foremost on our mind.

Roebuck Hall: our home for the week
We settled in- unpacking, freshening up, and sleeping for a few hours- then got ready for our first hurling match. Totally unprepared for the match, we found guidance and help from both our UCD intern Puric and some nice children at the match.

Dublin v. Galway: Dublin are the VICTORS!

Following the match we had a little free time to explore the town before we went to dinner at The Merry Ploughboy, an experience in itself. The Ploughboy had fantastic five star three course meals with live Irish folk music and Irish dance. The music and dancing was amazing.

After our dinner and show, we got back on the bus and went back to the dorms. Once at the dorms, we all got ready for bed and went to sleep.
